Edith survived her first day of first grade last week with excitement and few qualms. She's going to the same school, her classroom is on the same floor and some of her best friends are in the same class. What was there to be nervous about?
The day was even better than expected when her teacher told the class that she gives out marshmallows when students are good, a dream that was fulfilled the very next day. What more could a new first grader want?
